Winnipeg, MB – Headingley RCMP are investigating a serious single-vehicle collision that took place on October 15, 2016.

Headingley RCMP on patrol encountered the crashed car around 4:15 am. The car was in the north ditch of Roblin Boulevard.

Two people were in the car, the driver – a 24 year-old man – and a 25-year-old female passenger. The passenger had to be extricated from the car, as she was trapped inside after the accident.

Both the driver and passenger are from Winnipeg. The female passenger is in stable condition in a Winnipeg hospital, as she suffered serious injuries in the collision.

The early investigation shows that the car smashed into a driveway approach, flipped into a ditch, and then hit a large tree and light pole.

While both occupantts were wearing their seatbelts, it is believed that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
