Winnipeg police association launches new website

Winnipeg, MB. –  Maurice (Moe) Sabourin, President, Winnipeg Police Association (WPA), is pleased to announce the new and improved WPA website is now online –www.winnipegpoliceassociation.ca

“Winnipeg Police Association members give back to the community through a variety of charity events and volunteer activities,” said Sabourin. “Our new website showcases the commitment to community our members display every day and will hopefully inspire others to make a positive difference in their own neighbourhoods.” Information relevant to WPA members and citizens is included on the website along with social media links – @WpgWpa (Twitter); @winnipegpoliceassociation (Facebook); @winnipeg_police_association (Instagram).

Special features include the WPA’s anti-bullying initiative Cool 2Be Kind; a complete set of videos from the recent Protecting What Matters campaign; news updates and archive; special community events such as the Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad, 93rd Annual Winnipeg Police Association Charity Ball, Stars Fore Special O Golf Tournament, Law Enforcement Torch Run, and the Polar Plunge.

“Frequent news updates on the Winnipeg Police Association website and our enhanced social media will keep WPA members, stakeholders and the citizens of Winnipeg informed on issues of community safety,” said Sabourin. “We want the public to know police officers care about the community and work hard to keep citizens safe.”
