Springfield, MB – Oakbank RCMP are asking for the help of the public as they investigate a home invasion in the RM of Springfield, Manitoba.
According to the RCMP, the home invasion took place on October 19, at around 11:50 am. An armed male suspect kicked in the front door and demanded money from the occupant. He left with an undisclosed amount of money.
It is believed the home invasion was not random, and the suspect was familiar with the residence.
The RCMP believes a passing motorist might have noticed the vehicle used in the getaway. Investigators are looking to talk with anybody who might have noticed a speeding vehicle, or was cut off, or saw erratic driving in the area of the 25000 block of Dugald Road/Highway 15 between the time of 11:00 am-12:30 pm on October 19.
