A 25-year-old driver faces multiple charges after crashing into two street-sweeping vehicles early this morning.
The man was driving a Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Grant Avenue at around 2 a.m. on October 9 when he rear-ended the street sweepers, losing control of his vehicle. Police discovered that he was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
The street sweepers were working in the area when one of them became immobile after sustaining a hydraulic leak. A second sweeper parked behind the damaged sweeper while repair work was underway. Strobe lights were activated for motorists travelling in the area.
The driver sustained multiple upper and lower body injuries. He is in stable condition.
