A 49-year-old man from Winnipeg has been arrested for luring a child over the internet for sexual purposes, after a complaint was made to RCMP about indecent text messaging between an adult male and a male youth.
The male has been charged with two counts of luring, one count of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography. He has since been released from custody under strict conditions in order to ensure public safety.
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
