BRANDON, MB. — A man is in custody after a stolen vehicle was set on fire.
It happened in the gravel pits near Richmond Avenue East back on Sunday morning.
Police were called after someone heard a loud boom from the explosion.
Investigation revealed an 18-year-old Brandon man was responsible.
He was tracked down Tuesday evening and charged with Theft of Motor Vehicle.
Brandon police believe other individuals were involved, but the suspect remains tight-lipped.
He was released on a promise to appear in court in June.
The investigation continues.
