WINNIPEG, MB. — An 18-year-old man is charged after he allegedly called in a bomb threat.
It happened at St. Vital Centre in Winnipeg’s south end around 4:20pm Friday afternoon.
Winnipeg police deployed general patrol, community support, and K-9 officers.
While on scene at 5:20pm, another bomb threat was received for the shopping centre.
They worked with mall security to quickly determine both threats were unfounded.
Baron Morisette was identified a short time later and apprehended on Bishop Grandin Boulevard between River Road and St. Mary’s Road.
He has been charged with two counts of Public Mischief and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
Morisette remains behind bars.
