WINNIPEG, MB. — A Winnipeg man is accused of robbing a 7-Eleven convenience store with a friend.
It happened early Monday morning around 5:20am in the 800-block of Arlington Street.
Two suspects, one armed with a machete, entered the store.
They demanded money and cigarettes from staff before fleeing.
Winnipeg police caught one of the men nearby a short time later.
The machete and a pile of cigarettes were also located by officers.
Shayne Kelvin Curtis Peters, 32, is facing a slew of charges, including:
- Robbery
- Disguise with Intent
- Possess Weapon
- Resist Peace Officers
- Possess Scheduled Substance
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
He remains behind bars.
Winnipeg police continue to hunt for his accomplice.
