Four people have been charged after an incident on Saturday evening in Brandon. Three youths were walking home from the skate park across the 8th Street Bridge when the suspects assaulted them, demanded their personal property, then fled the scene. The three youths were treated for non-life threatening injuries and were released from the hospital later in the evening. When Brandon Police located the suspects, they recovered the stolen items.
Two Brandon men, aged 20 and 21 years old, were charged with 3 counts of Robbery with Violence and were held in custody to appear for a bail hearing later today. A 17-year-old female youth from Brandon was charged with three counts of Robbery with Violence and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was released from custody to appear in court in November. In addition, a 15 year old male youth from Brandon was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was also released from custody to appear in court in November.
