A 23-year-old man is behind bars after he allegedly left a loaded gun in a taxi.
It happened back in February of this year when a man was transported from St. Anne’s Road to Blake Street in the Weston neighbourhood.
The driver later discovered the firearm in the backseat and contacted officials.
Last Tuesday, the police released surveillance footage and asked for the public’s help after investigators were unable to identify the suspect.
Mathew Kenneth Ellison, of Winnipeg, has been charged with several firearm-related offences.
