MORDEN, MB. – Two people have died after a head-on collision last night on Manitoba Highway 3.
Morden RCMP responded to a collision Monday around 7:20 pm, one kilometer northeast of Sperling, Manitoba involving two vehicles.
Police report the two vehicles were travelling on Highway 3 when they collided head-on. One of the vehicles had two occupants, a male driver, and a female passenger. The male driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The other vehicle had four occupants. The male driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. RCMP now report that driver has died in hospital. The three passengers who were in the second vehicle had non-life threatening injuries.
It is unclear at this time whether alcohol was involved in this collision or if the occupants were wearing seat belts.
RCMP continue to investigate the accident and have not released any names at this time.
