WINNIPEG, MB – Winnipeg Police have arrested 60 year old Gerald Joseph Pilon for two armed robberies.
On June 16 around lunchtime, Pilon went into a bank in the 1300 block of Plessis brandishing a gun, and managed to get an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing.
But Pilon wasn’t done yet.
Later in the day around 6:30 pm, he robbed a bank in the 1600 block of Regent Avenue, once again getting away with some money.
He didn’t get away with it for long though, as Winnipeg Police arrested Pilon around 7:50 pm in the 400 block of Henry Avenue.
He faces the following charges:
- Armed Robbery Using a Firearm
- Possess Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Robbery
- Possess Weapon
